Configuring the Console Inactivity Logout

For security, an ztC Edge system limits the inactivity time of a login session to the ztC Edge Console. The default timeout is 60 minutes. After 60 minutes (or other specified time) of inactivity, the ztC Edge system automatically logs out the session. The console inactivity logout prevents a login session from remaining open indefinitely without use.

To enable the Console Inactivity Logout and set the timeout

1. Click Preferences in the left-hand navigation panel, to open the Preferences page.
2. On the Preferences page, click Console Inactivity Logout.
3. Activate the check box next to Enable Console Inactivity Logout.

4. The default Console Inactivity Logout timeout is 60 minutes. To specify a different timeout, type a number of minutes next to Timeout Minutes.

   Enter minutes in whole numbers. You cannot enter 0.

5. Click Save to save the values (or click Reset to restore previous values).
